Electrician
Our client requires a qualified electrician with more than 5 years heavy current experience (post apprenticeship) to work on a contract in Marikana.
Duties
You must carry out scheduled preventative maintenance on electrical equipment
You must be able to do installation and project work as required
You must be able to report any defects noticed while performing normal functions
You must be able and willing to work shifts
You must be willing to work overtime
You must be able to maintain all Electrical reticulation from station area to different work areas.
You must have experience in:
Testing equipment
You must have experience in trip tests, installation, repairing and fault finding of plant plugs and plant circuits
Disconnected and connected oxygen, plant air, and instrument air compressors
Repairing of lights and lighting circuits
Ssoftstarters, vsd’s, interphase relay panels and cleaning of 525v circuit breakers
Installing control devices such as current and potential transformers
Criteria
You must be self motivated
You must be able to work without supervision
You must be willing to perform other duties if required
You must have a valid South African ID and drivers license
You must be prepared to undergo a polygraph test
You must have contactable references
Qualifications
Olifantsfontein trade test or equivalent
